The packaging on Brazil is nice, if they haven't changed it.

I'd suggest booking three evenings in close proximity to watch the full cut, the documentary "The Battle for Brazil," and then the "love conquers all" cut. It makes for an interesting mini-course in film politics and editing.

Thanks for the tip! Amazon has it for about $50 so I'm going to see if I can score a used copy for less.

Or, failing that, treat myself to an early Christmas gift.

Will I be severely frowned upon if I admit the only Criterion Collection films I have are "Pygmalion" and "The Lady Eve"? And if I also admit I purchased these only to have them in DVD format, and not because they were Criterion Collection particularly?

No. The films speak for themselves. But you did make good by purchasing them in general because you enjoyed the films and it's a plus that you happened to choose the Criterion Collection editions.
