At a time when every clip that goes around the internet seems to involve some idiot falling off a bike or setting themselves on fire, that was a welcome change...jolly good.
Yes I thought so too. I knew my fellow loungers would appreciate a bit of real culture for a change. :)

Terrific! I recognized some of the faces. (I won't flatter myself by claiming to recognize many.)

This is something like a puzzle in which the object is to identify each of the faces. Now where's the video with the answers?

It seems to encompass most of art history from Leonardo, Raphael, and Botticelli up through the centuries to Reynolds, the impressionists like Renoir, and on through to post impressionists and modern painters like Dali. A good mix of artists represented. There must be over 200 paintings morphed together.
(I haven't attempted to count them all though,...)

Very interesting. So what can this tell us about the standards of beauty throughout the ages?

That beautiful women have two eyes. :)

I'm only half-joking. I found myself fixated on the eyes as each painting morphed, as though that was the common link from one subject to the next.

Speaking of beauty...I was also transfixed with the different painting techniques flawlessly flowing into and out of one another. Indeed, beauty can come in many forms!...and then women are such great subjects...

Awesome!
The technique, the music - just splendid.:eusa_clap :eusa_clap

My focus also began with the eyes, but moved to the mouth, and then the forehead. Absolutely fascinating.

I could not myself engage in the discussion about beauty since the creator limited their selections to European/Euro-American women subjects of a particular age. It may also be that as a visual woman with a creative mind, I see beauty in many faces generally not encompassed by the more traditional confines represented in this video.
