Holy cow! Fantastic work, dude! What an undertaking. I especially like the navy ribbon with that hat.

I really like the navy ribbon too. You got skills. Good job--Great final shots of a very nice fedora.

AnA, fantastic hat and a outstanding work and not to forget the lot of photos.

Elegant hat, AnA!

Nice work! Wears well too!

Thank you so much for all of the wonderful feedback, everyone! :thumb: All of your kind words are very encouraging! I have the confidence to do another hat very soon. Though, it will probably just be a new ribbon. Then maybe a raw hat body. My nephew-in-law(?) came over yesterday, and I found out he's in to hats, so I told him I would make him one. In due time!! :)

Stetson whippet restored. I knew this one needed a new sweat but was surprised it was a 7 1/2 as it was advertised as a 7 1/8. Gave this one a gas bath, reversed the ribbon, cleaned liner, added wind cord, steam and bash.Color is green/brown tones with golden brim ribbon.

Stetson Panama

Bought an unwieldy Stetson center-dent “genuine” panama last week; I figured with its wide brim I could take it apart and make a decent enough hat from it, having had some success with my Worth & Worth. The crown was too narrow to make it as far down on the hatshaper as I had hoped during reblocking, but with some hand ironing, and some folding and beating, it came out acceptably for a beater hat. There is more taper in the back than is apparent in the photos, but its rather slight. One more inch and it could have been perfect. I just sewed the cloth sweatband back in after reblocking it; and reused the ribbon. I was shooting for a brim dimension of 2 1/8”, but ended up with 2 1/4” on the sides and back and 2 1/2” in the front. Still need to do a little work on the dome so it sits just a bit lower, but I prefer straws to sit pretty high.
