The sleeves look OK in those photos. I have no problem at all with the center seam and think the horizontal and vertical seams in the back are great. Also, think that is the way the BTR was originally designed.

Looks like the jacket fits really tight, do you feel restriction when moving?
The jacket looks nice, but I think the black will look better on this type of jacket. But I remember you are not a black leather person, right Slone?

Appears not to fit as tightly as PN's BTR. I think that is the tumbled cordovan that has been getting rave reviews.

It may look tight, but I can fit a jumper under it without feeling restricted at all. I'm not a massive fan of black, though I like Aero's black goat, but I chose tumbled cordovan because, aside from the colour, it was perfect for the BR: it's not too heavy, drapes well and has a great grain.

As Monitor pointed out, the BR looks great on you and the fit is perfect. How many threads have we seen here where someone's either fretting over a future fit or is uncertain of the one he's received? Count your blessings. That's really a killer jacket.

It's not a too tight jacket, it's a skinny Sloan. Looks pretty good to me and I'm no longer greatly offended by the back seam.

I think both jackets look good. The "oversize" one only appears that way when contrasted with the slimmer fit of the BR, otherwise it will always look like a great fit to anyone you encounter. And with the larger one...you will always have room to eat a couple more sammiches and still be able to zip it closed!!
Clearly, you have a need for both jackets.

I kept the board racer, it was just too nice to send back. I haven't listed the cafe racer for sale just yet. I'm probably going to wait until after winter here to see how much use they both get. I can't layer under the BR so it might not get much use come the cold weather.....what I expect I'll do is sell the CR And put that toward an Aero Sheene in the brown Vicenza but no rush on that just yet. I'm still waiting on a premier half belt remake to arrive first.

ProteinNerd, I have a question for you bc I'm in the same dilemma, well, I haven't bought any jacket yet, but I've tried both, the BR and the CR.
I love the look of the BR, but it feels a bit tight around the shoulders and pecs (it's a size 40).
The CR is a size 38, but it feels a bit too big. My questions are, has the BR stretched more with constant wear? What leather did you get? I'm thinking on the Italian bc is softer.

Hi, while it has relaxed a little, it's still a snug fit primarily in the shoulders. It's still summer here though and I've only had it 2 or so months, so I haven't had the chance to wear it anywhere near enough to get any break-in going yet.

Mine is the steer hide, so I'm not sure how much it will stretch or it how much more it will relax but it's still leather so it should stretch a little anywhere there is constant pressure....not sure if that helps at all ?

Thanks for answering so promptly. I think I've experienced tightness in the same spot, but I'm afraid if I go for a bigger size, then it'll be too big, that's why I wanted your opinion about the leather stretching. I was trying to attach a picture, but I can't figure out how to do it yet! :D

Again, thanks for your comments!

The new one looks unreal to me. Your build suits the design really well. I could live with the cut of your original too. Cop it on the chin, keep the new one, get what you can for your existing and take your wife out for cocktails with whatever you get for the old one, or stash the cash and get ready for your next one....OR send the fit jacket back and order it in battered cordovan so you can kinda justify having both?
