Lovely! One of my favourite 8 panel caps is similar to that, although not as large.

Nice find BK.

Today I was at a display of vintage motorcycles and came across an amazing 7 ft wide panorama portrait of a vintage motorcycle rally in 1925. At least 75% of the hundreds of riders pictured had a cap of one form or another. Here are just two small sections of the photo:

Great photo, Mike. Was the same person on the extreme left of the group ALSO all the way to the right?

Just absolutely great, Robert. That's a Merton for certain! Is the small number affixed to the crown label something you did? I have always wondered how you might catalogue your collection.

Mike, what a fantastic portrait – I'll have to wait till I get on my desktop to really study this one.

Robert, that's a dynamite cap. We were just speaking about Merton caps in Cap Department a few days ago. You may know more precisely, but this looks early or pre-1920s to me. Lovely.

Might be carrying a load up there Keith.

No Charlie, it wasn't a 360 panorama but both ends did curve down a bit. There was also a pix of the photographer and his camera and the photographer managed to get himself in the pix too.
