Hi Gents,
is anyone able to ID this hat?

jason-momoa-20120602-hairstyles.jpg

It should be a flat cap...Ivy cap, but it seems I can't find a similar one:
I like it cause is firm, straight at the side, not loose or slouchy at all
I notice this hat has an elongated brim and a sort of 2 level heights, one at the base, like a band.... straight from the bring all around the head wrapping it, and the second level above.
When I look at flat hats I can't find the same model: the brim is much smaller, the shape at the sides of the hat is not sto straight and I can't see that kind of band at the base of the hat.
Just to give some example of what I DO NOT like and that are different from the model above

I finally got my first Ivy caps:

On the top, charcoal grey with sort of a "crosshatch" pattern. On the bottom, brown herringbone with a pale pinkish dotted line pattern and perpendicular solid burgundy lines (which don't appear to be too visible in the photos). They were given to me by a good friend when I asked where he usually got his Ivy caps; he explained these were gifted to him and he didn't find them to be particularly comfortable, so he never wore them. In fact, they're kinda' wrinkled because they were still in the packaging. 30% wool/70% polyester and made in China, they're inexpensive but I'm using them as a stepping stone towards getting myself a better quality Ivy cap or two. I've always liked Ivy caps but never thought they looked "right" on me so I got Newsboy caps instead; now I just don't care. :D

Scored a Mister Miller cap, style is Albert. Hand made in the UK, made from Merino lambswool tweed. Fabric is on the light weight side but suitable for Spring and Autumn. The vendor was happy to fabricate to my size as I am between sizes. Ready to go out for a Sunday morning coffee. :)

I wonder if the cap Mr. Momoa is wearing in that photo is what Hanna Hats refers to as a "Skipper Cap":

The crown looks a little too short, but collapse the front down onto the brim and add the wear and tear...

Thanks @Zombie_61 for your input: that Hanna hats skipper cap has some of those features I'm looking for, but as you said, crown and brim are different from the kind of cap Momoa is wearing.

Said that, I gave a look at other Anna hats models and I found this one called " Daithi",

it has an extended brim and well...the side of the crown that looks so straight and upward I believe just depends on how you put the cap on;
anyway in these pics also that fold on the side looks similar and it's a simple flat cap with extended brim, but I also have seen other images of the Momoa's cap from different angles and I found out it's not so upward cause all the cap looks like rolled down to the other side of the cap making it slouchy and loose; definitely not the style I'm looking for and I've doubts there's a hat with those features I wish to find.
Here a pic from the other side

Thought I would share a couple of very nice Customer Service experiences I had purchasing some caps:

1). Biddy Murphy. I was looking for a patchwork cap to match a Hanna Scarf, but the colors on the caps are random snd you don’t know what you’re going to get. I called them and the fine lady there went to the trouble of gathering up about 10 hats that were close to the picture of the scarf I emailed her, and emailed me photos of each one. Picked out a great John Hanly and they shipped it right out. Now that is Customer Service !

2). Hanna Hats. I was looking for a specific Harris Tweed in their Donegal Touring Cap to match a vintage jacket, but did not see it on their site. I called them and the nice receptionist took the time to send me pictures of all the Harris Tweed swatches that they had, and they made me a custom hat from the one I selected. More excellent Customer Service !!
