Fascinating resource. Every time I think I am beginning to get a handle on hats in their heyday, I see something like this and realize how everything I know could fit on the tip of a 1920s hatpin. Love the Queen Mary crew cap in sync with Che's photo essay earlier today.
 
Baron, did you notice that the crazy wool weaves seen on these 1920s caps were used for suits and plus-fours too?

Yes, indeed. I also have the feeling that the crazy stuff seemed to persist for use in caps for longer than in suits/other clothing.

Can you imagine one of those suits you posted with a hat in the same fabric? I think my stomach would instantly prolapse if I found one of those.:faint2:
