It's made out of the same kind of material old trench coats are made from.
Any idea where I can get a new one? Maybe my size?
Johnny.

I ordered four newsboy caps from The Village Hat Shop during the Labor Day Sale. Looking forward to receiving my 8 panels. I was informed they have already shipped. Very pleasant to have fast service and a update.

I got the idea from goorin, there is an ivy cap posted with the "woodsman" type flaps, I like the way the flaps are designed, thought I would try something similar to that on a newsboy style cap. Maybe a silly concept, but it sure will be warm come winter.

Not a big Goorin Bros. Hat fan just because they do something I wouldn't take it as something I would do.:)

They used a detachable chin stap and then cut the length of the flap's so that folded up. Would need to have the inside of the flaps made of the same fabric or a contrasting color with snaps on the top to secure.

I like the concept but it would be a pretty limited use cap if it was only usable with the flaps down. I guess if one were to purchase it a bit oversized they could fold the flaps up into the top of the cap?

Maybe I should consider a detachable flap, something to think about. I don't like the feel of this wool on my skin, so I couldn't see making the insides matching. I don't like the contrasting flaps on top either, looks a bit silly I must say. Thanks for the feedback guys.
