Probably the only real thin ribbon I own, it's new to me. I guess I'm not in the brotherhood though. :D

Bolthead, that is a hat that anyone would be proud to wear. Rugged but stylish. What kind is it and what color is that?...Deenis

Bluegrass Green Campdrafts in stock 60cm+

EA shows US $74.93 for Bluegrass Green Campdraft in sizes up to 64cm. I had a back order in for a 60cm so i expect to see a ship notice soon.

I've had this Campdraft for a while. It's Taupe Fawn. My 4th hat, 4th Akubra, 1st hat that is perfect for me. I like it a lot. Taupe Fawn is a safe color, though. Eventually I'm gonna need to find something more...risky lol .

Tweaked the shape a little bit:

May I join the Brotherhood?

On the move again...
For Rusty & Jimmy, My Stetson Royal Deluxe.:D Not an Open Road or Stratoliner, just a generic Stetson with the thin ribbon that could pass for either hat. This bad boy is super soft & pliable. Kind of hart to tame the brim sometimes, so I just let it do its thing. I'm guessing this is from the late 1940's but I'm not 100% on that. Enjoy! :)

I got my Open Road today (The OR Guild chaps' best guess is early '60s).

This will definitely become my traveling hat. It is just so versatile and comfy.

Okay, I need advice from the thin ribbon crowd. Please, don't tell anyone over in the Art Fawcett thread my question-they will consider it blasphemy!shhhhhhhh

I am in cue with Art for a Black Cherry. I want to keep it on the casual side of things and also make it different. Does anyone have an opinion on whether a thin ribbon black cherry would "work"? At first I dismissed the thought, but then I started wondering. I see something in that ballpark on page 32 of this thread and I like it.

This is a Wright's Beaver Blend Open Road clone that appeared to be NOS when I received it. Here's a picture of the hat after walking my dog for about half an hour in drizzly rain Saturday:

As it happens, the maker seems to have designed this hat for wet weather wear:
