It's missing a sweatband, however it came with an unused Eakle one labeled "made in Czechoslovakia".

This is very intriguing for the felt finish and the ""made in Czechoslovakia" label. Maybe a WWII escamotage to have some Borsalinos imported in USA?

Daniele, I took as the original sweatband was missing and the Seller included the "made in Czechoslovakia" sweatband. I am sure Tonio will clarify. I would have liked to have seen that "made in Czechoslovakia" hat too.

Thank you for the clarification. You say it's was never installed? They might have worked undressed hats possibly from the Nový Jičín / Neutitschein hat companies.

I posted one of these before. I think that was a later example. This is the third time that a hat that was advertised as black turned out to be blue. In this case Mirtillo. Borsalino Gran Lusso Club in blue. Longhair finish, size 57 with the overwelt brim at 5cm and the crown at 10cm at the pinch.
Sold by JS Meuwsen of Amsterdam.

I make out Vanzina, marca depositata, and prodotto. Prodotto is close to "producto" in Spanish, so it must be "product".

Thanks Max. Any idea what all of that means to the hat? Is it a model name, that you know of?

Google Translate: "Vanzina, Reistered Trademark".

Anyway, it's my next hat project. Anything original to the hat that I can reuse will go back on it.

Daniele sent me a couple of Vanzinas. Vanzina is the brand. I vaguely remember, if I am not making it up in my mind, that Daniele said that Borsalino bought Vanzina, and that they used to be competitors.
Marca depositata would be something like "registered trademark". Borsalinos also say "marca depositata".

Yup. I just googled it. Thanks Max. I appreciate your help and additional information. A fellow Lounger who wishes to remain anonymous sent me a Borsalino. It's my next hat project.
