Here's a colour we haven't seen before. Borsalino Export Qualität in Stibina (Stibnite). Size 57, brim 5,5 cm crown 10 cm at the pinch. Unusual about this one is that it actually runs large.
So now we have argento, cobalto, rutenio, bronzo, plumbeo, rodio, bismuto, palladio and stibina. We're getting on.

Well your wife doesn't have to wear them. so no problem, right?:)
Last different one of my metal coloured borsalino's (still have some in colours we've already seen) and not the least of them: Borsalino Augusta Gris Fer (iron grey), longhair finish, size 57, 5,5 cm overwelt brim, 10,5 cm crown at the pinch. Late fifties to early sixties.

To make the metal complete. Here's my Borsalino Rutenio fedora, size 56, 6,8 cm bound brim, 9,5 cm crown at the pinch. Interesting about this is that is belonged to Peter van den Hemel (1929-2016), founding member of the Dutch Kickboxing Association. It wasn't his first though, because the initials on the sweat were BK.

And all of them together, with enough metal to start a rock festival. From to to bottom and left to right: gris fer, cobalto, rodio, stibina, palladio, rutenio, argento, argento, bronzo and bismuto. In the last shot there's a stowaway: a borsalino export qualität without a label. No exact colour match to any of the other, but it seemed to fit right in.

Thank you all for the kind comments. And the challenge still stands of course; I am curious if there are any metal colours we haven't seen so far (or other models in colours we have seen).

This series of posts has been both an education and a fantasy! Is there anything you don't have? More than impressive, hat porn!

Mike, thanks. This praise from the members here means you taught me well. When I started collecting I didn't know anything, but reading here and looking at the most wonderful hats posted by the members I learned a thing or two. Not to mention I did buy quite a few not so great hats too. As to what I don't have, well where to begin? There are some members here with collections I can only dream about (and I do now and again): Alan (Alanfgag) and Steve (Mayserwegener) must have collections that dwarf mine. And even though they don't post here anymore, looking at the hats in the vast collections of Rick (RLK) and Dinerman was just mindboggling.

If I remember correctly, a US market hat that reads "Original House" versus "Antica Casa" on the sweatband would indicate pre 1985.
