I just listened to Adele's song for Skyfall and as much as I love her voice and her music, I have to say, this song just didn't do it for me.

I loved the opening sequence for "The Living Daylights". Prefer Connery as Bond. Favorite flick is "Goldfinger". Thought Moore was good in "Live and Let Die". That's about it for the 007 critique.

V.C. - I think I preferred Telly Sevalas (spelling?) as Blofeld.

And also from OHMS, Bond actually marries the girl, so it would appear that 007's favorite Bond Girl was Teresa (Diana Rigg).

BTW, When I worked at a local factory, we used to send parts out for Zinc plating. Whenever our most active plating vendor would call on the phone, normally to speak to someone else, I would break into my own version of "They call him Zinc-Finger. He's the man, who's born with the rust-proof touch. He's too much. Zinc-Finger. He can make those parts look just like gold, but not so costly to hold..." I was normally cut off by this point. I never got to the big finish of "He loves ZINC!" That was probably best for all concerned. Shirley Bassey would not have been impressed.

A little trivia I just heard. The distinctive guitar rift you hear in the Bond theme song was originally played by Vic Flick. He was paid the whooping one time fee of 6 Ponds Sterling!

I voted for Sean Connery, but I like all of them. All the Bond actors were suited for whatever style they were supposed to represent onscreen. In order, here's best to "worst":

1. Sean Connery
2. Roger Moore
3. Daniel Craig
4. Pierce Brosnan
5. George Lazenby
6. Timothy Dalton

I haven't seen the other two actors' works yet, and I don't qualify them as traditional Bond actors.

it's funny how your perceptions change with age.
When I was a kid, I love Saint movies with Roger Moore, and I thought Man from Uncle was the coolest show ever.
Seeing them now, Man from Uncle is arrogant and disjointed, and Roger Moore really did play the same kook that Val Kilmer bombed so thoroughly.
I guess I did like seeing Octopussy, where Roger Moore as Bond was driving my car.

Didn't realize it but Bernie Kopell (TV's Get Smart and The Love Boat) voiced some of the characters, most notably Baron von Butcher, Creto and Wang Fu.
