Okay. I've managed to get a few pics taken of the new jacket.

First, remember, it's about the jacket. Forget the guy; he's hopeless. I really like the sleeve and body length; both extend down far enough to add some warmth to hands and small of back, respectively. The lining is Isle of Skye tartan, wool, and pleasantly warm. The chocolate cord bottom lining is sweet.

The pocket lining is the same warm, snuggy chocolate cord.
The collar is a nice, strapped G-1 style, pretty cool.

The cuffs are 'old school' button, with substantial leather lining (about 3") inside the sleeve.

And, oh, yeah, the jacket as it looks worn, back and front:

I apologize for the sideways pics; the latest iteration of webshots arbitrarily does this, and won't let me fiddle with the orientation before I load. You get the idea though. I'm very happy with this jacket. The seal goatskin is rich-looking and has some 'muscle' to it. Overall, I'd say Aero nailed it. All the pics were shot with an ipad camera, many of them by one of my fellow teachers in my classroom. Hope you enjoy them, guys.

Spot on, fit looks sharp! Love the seal colouring. It must be slightly surreal to have it after all this time. :D

Sleeves, spot on, collar radical, zips and pocket understated and beautiful.... Hide.... drool... slobber. One more jacket victory for the greybeards! (myself included) I love the tartan liner... which one is that? I'm personally too big for the 30's HB but you fill it nicely. How stiff is goat out of the box? I'm sure it's more comforatble to start than HH. Wish I had one for comparison. Great jacket man. Enjoy!

Very nice!! Gets me excited to get my hands on the one I have on order..also a 30's but in cordovan HH I really like the length of both the sleeves and body.. Fwiw I also opted for cord in the hem and pockets any thoughts on the pocket lining?

Looks great on you and you couldn't get a better fit. It was a long wait, but worth it in the end.

Okay. The cord pocket lining is thick and warm. The goat has some character; it needs some breaking in to get soft and supple, but certainly no HWT. The jacket is a pretty stock size 42, with some help from Insurrection in Seattle trimming down some bulk in the upper sleeves and shoulder area. I did not ask for any special mods in length or fit. The custom Isle of Skye tartan was the biggest change from stock. And, the goatskin, of course. The hardware is the normal Aero gear. Julie did the actual work. Four and a half months from order to delivery. It is a warm, comfortable jacket and will outlast me by quite a few decades, I think.

Nice jacket, Jack! No need to HWT, but definitely get it wet and wear it! That goat (I have two) from Aero likes to get wet and looks better after. Once it starts molding to you, it will be very nice!

Looks great and I like that fit. In fact, fit wise I don't see the difference between this and my 50s halfbelt. Yet, I thought this one is supposed to be a trimmer version, no?

And if it aint then what are the trim aero jackets?

Those are good pictures Jack and in a timely manner too. Nice job
