THE ADAM MAJESTIC

This Adam hat arrived today. I originally purchased it with the intention of giving it to my son. A senior in college, who is always asking to borrow one of my fedoras. The largest one I have is an Adam 7 3/8 which fits him tight.
This ADAM MAJESTIC IS A 7 1/2. However, after getting my hands on it, I don't think I'm going to give it to him. To say the least I am quite pleased with it and more. I have no history on this hat. I would like to determine what era it might be from. The ribbon work is a bit different. It's very soft and subtle. It has a C-Crown.

Color: very light brown
Brim: 2 5/8"
Ribbon: 1"
Bound brim
Crown:4 3/4"
Interior Leather Sweatband: 1 3/4"
There is an original price tag on the inside of $6.00.
Embossed on the sweatband is Adam Eva Sharp Processed and Majestic Quality

That's a cool hat. With the buttons and the way the band is, that's one of my dream hats, but it was just too big.
That was quite an inexpensive hat new. I guess they focused mainly on style.

A very nice looking lid. I'm looking for a vintage as my first felt I think. I just recently ordered a Montecristi Fino (200 wpi) from our esteemed member Panamabob for summer but have yet to get a felt for the cooler months. I've been looking at Akubra Federation and Fedora but looking at the vintages I may go down that route first.

Great hat, Razzman! I don't want to be out of line here, but go ahead and give it to your son for graduation. He'll cherish it for life, especially since he'll probably know that it was a treasure to you. Who knows, it might just be a hat that gets passed down for generations to come, with all the stories that will acompnay it. What an heirloom.

Thanks for posting these! I really like the ribbon. From the auction photos I thought there was a wind cord, but now it looks like there are just a couple ornamental buttons? I don't think I've ever seen that before. I was sorry to lose the auction, but at least it was to another Lounger!

Never seen another like it...

That pugaree with the buttons is terrific. The second button befuddles me. One imitates a wind trolley button, but the second?? I assume both are sewn on.
