Now for the photos!

Ok, here are the photos of it! It came today and it fits really nice! I'm so happy that it fits and looks good. It's in REALY good condtion!

I remmber being asked what brand it was. Well, it's from J.C. Penny's and looks to be from the 30's or early 40's.

One of you asked if it had a snap down crown and bill. It does have a snap!

Here are the photos.

Thaks for the kind words K.D. and yes if you look closely in the second photo you can see the leather sweat band in it. It's some what the same color of the liner.

Oh brother, the Alvin K thing again. Oh JP, you funny man.

Wildroot -- You should have become an actor!

On the same thread, one guy tells you you look like Alvin Karpis, and someone else tells you that you are a baby (i.e., baby-faced).

You could have career as varied as my favorite actor, Alec Guiness. He could change his looks to suit any character. And he had class and style....

Keep those photos coming!

You know, it's really sad. The only three times I have found these caps I have bought them. Once in a vintage shop in Hollywood, 2nd, Ebay, 3rd, Ebay! They are very hard to come by!!! I have seen vintage clothing web sites but they have junk most of the time. Not real 20's or 30's caps but late 60's and 70's caps that are small and not floppy in shape.

Even at vintage clothing expos in Santa Monica I have never seen one.

So, it looks that ebay will be the hot ticket if you're looking for a period original cap.

That's the way it is I guess.
