Really nice. I do think he refrains from using any of those food produces currently, as they would more than likely poison him.

I think it says somewhere in the article they are just for decoration :)

Correct you are. I don't know if eating the food will kill him but I'm sure he'll become familiar with the term "Montezuma's Revenge".

I love that house. In fact, years ago, that's how I wanted to furnish my own house but never had the funds or was never in a place to be able to find that stuff. O wouldn't be able to go as far as he did but that would have been fine.

Very nice. And I've drank 75 year old malted milk and lived to tell the tale, so don't rule anything out.
I know when I was in the service, we restocked up some survival kits with rations and other items. There was some old hard candy, smokes, gum, tins of food products, etc, in each one. Now some fellows decided to not toss everything out and to use everything for themselves. Not me. And I did not suffer the results of having to be in the hospital that some of them did.

I wish I could do that but I live in a '70s cookie cutter house so unfortunately such an effort would be like trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

That's pretty much the problem I had. My sister in law lives in a small town in Illinois where the houses go from homes over a hundred years old to modern with everything in between. I would have loved to have bought one before the housing bubble popped because they were really cheap. The renovations however would cost about as much as the house itself but it would have been glorious.

A lovely home! I'd love to live like that... except with an indoor toilet.

I do wonder if he has an indoor bath, since he's using an outhouse. Clearly there's indoor plumbing - kitchen sink, modern washing machine... but no photos of any sort of bathroom. Inquiring minds want to know.

lol I once brushed my teeth with 70 year old Kolynos powder, and I'm still around.
