They are in the Rin Tanaka book My Freedamn Vol. 6. You can see the one with the spiders if you go here:

www.myfreedamn.com

I'll see if I can remember to scan them in later when I get home.

Ah yes, I have seen the Spiders one in My Freedamn off the Surfing Cowboys website. Going to try to get that book for Christmas this year! Amazing stuff.

This isnt about recession, or an article of clothing, its about the crown of a collection, and this person, prolly would have regretted not at least trying for this for the rest of their life.

A lot of times when you see an item like that, the price tag is irrelevant. I would think this is their serious hobby, an investment hobby, and the person might have shuffled some things around to make it happen.

Or they are super rich and just wanted it for their kids room :)

But now they OWN this shirt, which is surely its own punishment for profligate spending.

Some eBayer's wife's husband has just handed her a key piece of evidence for the Guardianship/Conservatorship proceedings sure to follow soon.

That's assuming she doesn't opt for a solution that will find her in the criminal justice system.

And $30,000+ fetched for a 19th century pair of torn up, faded Levi Strauss jeans: is that mad as well?

.

it surely is.

but fwiw I was trying to make a silly pun about the high cost of the shirt vs. its subject, Alfred E. Newman.

The real deal. Ive never seen a shirt sell for this much on eBay. Ever. I sell deco dining tables and chairs at work for the same price as this. You could have a 1951 Shoebox Ford in good shape for that much, or an entire collection of vintage suits with shoes to match, or anything better than a single shirt!:

Recession? What recession?

Just think of how popular you would be giving away shirts like this for the holidays--if you inherited an oil field!![/FONT];)

A Fool and Their Money...Had Better Not Let the Spouse See the Statement

Marc Chevalier writes "The cost police hath spoken."

We are all better off when people who have odd notions of what to spend their money on, do: It gets back into circulation.

It used to be more difficult to manage a stone toss from my own glass house, but now, so much easier that it's in shards.
