WOW!!!!!My new Tenjin arrived...
Fantastic coat!
WOW!!!!!My new Tenjin arrived...
Yes!.. Thats one cool coat.. Any issues getting them to make one in your size?..
Congrats! Pretty cool RED Pea Coat, Man!! After @Mysteryo 's Himel Grizzly this is another extraordinary and unusual jacket - what to follow tomorrow?? Anyway, I like it! What's the usual leather thickness/heaviness they use? What about the leather quality and craftmanship of Tenjin compared to Thedi, Aero? How much is a coat like this? I really like the tan Pea Coat.Couple of pictures more without direct sunlight:

@Jejupe Thank you for your detailed response. I've tried many times (also a couple of months ago) to contact them but cannot find an e-mail address and their online contact form doesn't work for whatever reason. Perhaps you can share their e-mail address with me? Thanks again! Looking forward to see how your red Pea Coat develops after some wear! Thanks for the compliment!
Tenjin guys use only(?) high quality vegtanned cowhide, which they call "kip-leather". I don't know if the weight varies, but I estimate that mine is about 3 oz - 3.5 oz. It's rather soft and easy to wear right out of the box, so nothing like Horween CXL hides.
Craftmanship is up there with the best of them. Detailing on this jacket is maybe a little bit more utilitarian than for example most Thedis or Himels I've seen. Basic model is 195 000 Yen and there is upcharge for colours and sizes larger than 42.

Many thanks!info@tenjinworks.com
but their answering to emails is also a bit of a hit and miss. I reckon most of the guys at Tenjin have very limited understanding of english.
This is for RedDevil in particular, but if anyone else knows:
Do you have any idea what Tenjin uses on the veggie tanned natural horsehide to obtain such a nice color? I know the UV radiation is the main thing but what might they apply to the leather directly??
Cialis wax to make your leather last longer...
Now that’s some good google translate.
I believe their own wax and brushing: http://www.tenjinworks.com/product/item/detail.php?id=4394
Google translate:
Value size for internal use 130g. Extreme maintenance cream that was developed to make Tenjin items that are robust and durable "for life." The main ingredient 'Jojoba wax' is extracted from the seeds of plants of the family Schizophyllum and is also known as 'King of Oil' and is a component similar to sebum, so it quickly penetrates leather. It is a wax that keeps the leather soft and has a good moisturizing effect without irritation and is difficult to oxidize.
The beeswax wax formulation is also suitable for the water repellency of the leather surface.
It is an all-purpose cream that is gentle on the environment, using only natural materials that are expected to have the effects of both leather and water repellent.
Dry the surface of the leather to remove dirt and dust, use a little amount of Aging Brush, etc., and use it thinly to blend in with the whole.
The answer that Tenjin Works, who has been committed to leather, has arrived, which makes your leather truly a "lifetime thing", is this "TENJIN retail cost of cialis WAXX".
