I've actually just been thinking of sending a photo of the first jacket posted (navy and burgundy) and asking if Aero can make something like that up in a two-tone j106. They do both navy and red leather. Wouldn't cost me as much.

Would certainly look good, in CXL?

If anybody needs help contacting them, let me know :)

Edit: Forgot to mention flash and non flash photos, and in case you noticed no red leather sample here...

Brave move! I wish you well if you decide to stick with it. Years ago I had a café racer in a similar blue, which I adored. But I felt incredibly self conscious whenever I wore it!

I just don't (or didn't then) have the confidence I thought I did.

How long does the prices take with Tenjin? When would you see the jacket?

I asked for samples. No reply.

Don't think it would be intentional as they were very friendly each time I visited their shop. They probably missed your request or did not understand it. None of the staff I saw could speak English.
Sending you a PM now

i recommend calling and then emailing. they’re super nice but my guess is that not everyone that gets the emails communicates in english.

Were you able to speak English or was it mainly through written communication?

That's a very nice choice, very curious to see how it comes out! Did you get the D pocket?
A similar shade of blue is on my to buy list :)
I had a cheap electric/cobalt blue jacket a few years ago that had been custom made in Shanghai and it worked well. Only reason I don't have it any more is because the leather ripped, it was too thin.
Actually been eyeing for quite some time a Lewis Leathers lightning in this colour

Confidence and be worked on ;)

It took them about 3 months when I ordered mine, don't know if this changed since then. They give you the timing when you place the order

Do you guys know if they are true to size. I am usually a 42 with RMC and a 40 with US/UK. I bought a 42 freewheelers once and could not wear it due to pit to pit being around 20.

I am wondering if I should order a 42 or go with 44

interestingly enough all of the blue jackets in super’s post are cobalt blue. the blue now starts as the jacket ton picked out but wears to more of a navy / washed out navy i think (so the jacket you’d think was navy in super’s post isn’t actually navy, it’s an ‘aging’ cobalt blue jacket). it’s worth looking through their instagram account even if you’re not tempted by their jackets but especially if you are!

ah yes, timing.... i probably should have asked! honestly though i’m not too bothered though, it’s not a one man operation (naming no names).

when i called they did speak english, enough that i could have a 5 minute conversation but i feel like it was probably a little random based on who picked up the phone. most of the communication was by email though, but i had an unanswered email and i felt like calling really got the ball rolling.

actually getting the jt01 (the new pattern has no chest pocket). i’ve realized i like mandarin collars, although i have in the back my head a green, natural or burgundy jw03 if i love the first one (even though i don’t like cross zips and normal collars something really appeals to me about that jacket).

Happy to report back when I get mine, the process wasn’t just ordering a particular size though. I sent my exact measurements as well as photos and asked for their opinions on a few things. A lot like ordering my Aero except measurements and photos as opposed to a fit jacket.

As red devil said, there is a laungauage barrier but they are super friendly. I’d guess 42 from what I know of your size but I don’t have my jacket yet (so take my guess with a heap of salt). Just let me be the guinea pig or else ask them what they think if waiting doesn’t seem worth it.

I guess that it is because the JW03 looks like a very clean design, would look good in any f these colours :)

Thanks Blue, I am going with 42. The shoulders would be too wide on a 44. They mentioned that if I order, I would not get it until Nov-Dec
