Nick, those are about the best looking Teamster pics out there! Along with the other ones you posted :D

Bunyip, I pulled the trigger on a Teamster yesterday. I went with Cordovan FQHH, size 38 (I wear 38 in my zip sleeve HWM, J106 and Vanson Model B), 26" sleeves, 27.5" body length (I'm 5'9" and my J106 is 24.5"), button-down epaulettes, Rockafella front & back stitching details, plain back, brown Herringbone tweed body lining, brown corduroy sleeve lining, brown moleskin pocket lining. Should be here in 2 months! I'll let you know how that works out, and I must say I like the Teamster more than the Dustbowl.

Cheers Edward. The BK is called the Dodger. I've been Told 8 weeks turn around, but we shall see. I'm leaning towards one of each, one brown, one cordovan. One at a time! Here are a couple of pics of the dodger I'm waiting on. View attachment 21463 View attachment 21464 View attachment 21465

aha! It does look very similar to the Aero 30s HB, with lower side straps. Certainly different enough than the Dustbowl (which I'd go for in a different colour, personally) to include both in your wardrobe imo, though thee Teamster would give you more variation first up.

Bunyip, with all your jacket and boot purchases, I surmise you must a young single bloke with a bit of spare cash. Please send me your address so I can post my expensive children down to you for the post-Christmas break, and then I might be able to save a couple of $$ for a new jacket too! lol

And for the record, I dig the Dustbowl. Sloan's looks the business.

That sounds like an intense jacket....very much looking forward to seeing it!

Aahh Benny, your not far off, single, just turned 40, sadly, not cashed up...Im drinking crown lager and grange out of paper bags..I cut up the credit card after the last evil high heel wearer walked out the door...have spent the year eating 2 minute noodles watching Seinfeld re reruns saving and spending every red cent on said boots and jackets....haven't even worn them to the pub yet, ironically can't afford boots plus socialising ! the madness stops at Decembers end...then it's back go being a grown up and worrying about the future.....;) this is my year, then it's back to business...

That looks great. Did you go with Alpaca lining? I'm wondering how warm/ heavy that is?

No its a heavy tartan liner....I just don't need the warmth of alpaca in Sydney. I did weigh it and compare it to my cafe racer in fqhh and was surprised it was really wasn't any heavier.....cant remember the numbers though sorry

I find it almost impossible to imagine wearing leather (other than lambskin) in Sydney. Lived there for a whole winter and used to go up every year. Never wore more than a denim jacket.

if you're already getting a Dodger from BK why would you need another short one? The teamster, if it's weather appropriate, seems such an obvious choice, especially when you look at Dav's pictures. Also I think that's a model that works better for bigger guys. And if PN has one too and says it's OK for Australia then why in the world would you not get one?!

Looking at the fantastic pictures of Nick's (Dav) Teamster makes me want to order another one in case something were to happen to the one I already own. :D Looking at his dogs makes me want to get a couple more as companions for my two German shepherds (almost). Yesterday and today are cold, wet, dreary days in N Central Texas, and wore my Teamster yesterday and today, probably tomorrow too. No jacket that I own or have ever owned that I like better than my Teamster.

Seb, 20 degrees or under and its fine to wear a jacket (imo) with a t-shirt or shirt as long as it doesn't have a heavy liner. We are in the middle of summer and today has a top of 23!!! Hooray for climate change lol

OK but to me it isn't about whether it is 20, it's the humidity. I can't wear 3 oz leather at any temperature over 15 degrees.

That's interesting. I lived in Sydney for 6 years, I used to wear jackets regularly. I'm originally from canberra, and am quite resilient when it comes to the cold. While I never froze in Sydney Town, I certainly had plenty of opportunities to wear a jacket

Bottom line is that there's no standard answer to the question of what temperature is suited to different jackets.... it will all depend on the individual tolrance to heat and humidity. I think I'd find Aus depressingly hot even in your "Winter".
