Teamster and dustbowl

G'day guys,
I'm looking for any pics of teamsters and or Dustbowls. I'm about to pull the trigger, and can't decide which way to go. Obviously they are both very different styles. I ended up ordering a seal BK half belt in the sale the other week, and after having putting a heap of pressure on myself with a 6 jacket hit list, have decided to try and settle for just one more instead. I'm not sure if this will work! I have a bunch of MC jackets and just need a couple of reasonably different all rounders to wear casually.
The Teamster has gained a lot of momentum with me lately, and I've always really liked the dustbowl. I'm thinking the button down style of Teamster is very much a contrast to a regular half belt, but the Dustbowl, for mine, is a really well thought out jacket and is beautiful.
I'm thinking just a brown fqhh, it should be a decent contrast to the BK seal. I'm a real cordovan fan, but can't be arsed buying matching burgundy boots etc, I've already got 5 decent pairs in varyious shades of brown. I've gone bonkers on Davs, Fanch and Thors pics. Im wondering of there's any more out there, or even updated patina pics from the Teamsters team (We will call them The Fedora Lounge Sopranos.) the length is another curiosity, the pics I've seen have some guys wearing them in a slimmer fit like Thor and Dav, while others seem to go for a much larger cut, and more length. They really look like completely different styles depending on the cut. I'm keen for an inch or two below the belt line, and no action back...that's the only thing I've nailed down at this stage..
Any dustbowl owners, throw your pics and thoughts in too if you can.
I'm also wondering how heavy and comfortable the alpaca lining is in these jackets? Might even just get a nice tartan lining...
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I had a Teamster and have a Dustbowl, but wouldn't say it was an either/or decision as they're both so different.

One longer, one short, the DB much neater. I got rid of my Teamster to fund a Maxwell and would say that treads the middle ground perfectly.

This is my teamster in Brown FQHH obviously. I added an extra inch or two in length and its sized to be worn over a layer or two which I'm not wearing in the photo but you get the idea. I really love it and only wish it got cold enough here more often to warrant wearing it.

Yes, they are vastly different. I'm just trying to get something different enough to my BK to justify it!

That looks great. Did you go with Alpaca lining? I'm wondering how warm/ heavy that is?

Yep. It;s a test jacket, hence the lack of breast pocket, made from a sample of shinki found in the storeroom and fitted with a Hookless zipper. I'd imagine you'd get the same look from Italian seal or straight ahead HH. Wear this all the time late-spring to early-autumn.

Thanks Nick! Those were the ones that got me into Teamster thinking in the first place. Do you have any new ones of yours with some wear on it?

I'll see what I can do in the next couple of days.
In the mean time, here's a couple I took the other day while out with the dogs.

What's the BK like? The Teamster is probably the more significantly different if the BK is a halfbelt, but I'm not familiar with their names. The Dustbowl is one of the best of the newer Aero designs, IMO. The back is a real winner. I had mine made up with no yolk and a breast zip pocket, just personal preference. It's the same length as my Bootlegger, which is just longer-enough than a 30s HB to notice.

Re cordovan, imo opinion it doesn't necessitate new boots (though it does look good with burgundy); I find it works well with black too. Some in these parts wear brown with theirs. That doesn't sit so well with me, but it's all subjective.

Cheers Edward. The BK is called the Dodger. I've been Told 8 weeks turn around, but we shall see. I'm leaning towards one of each, one brown, one cordovan. One at a time! Here are a couple of pics of the dodger I'm waiting on. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Bunyip your decision is simple: buy both a Teamster and a DB. :D Brown FQHH Teamster with moleskin body shell and cotton drill sleeves, and a russet or black goatskin Dustbowl with cotton drill body shell and sleeves. A perfect combo.
