I started a thread on moving Pictures about who'd be my fantasy date. That got me thinking who would I like to meet and chat to, maybe grill a little.

Out of the masses living and dead with no language barr I'd like to chat first to:

T.E. Lawrence.

Hermann Goering.

Elizabeth Bergner.

Don Bradman.

Michael Collins.

you'll have to google image them if you don't know who they are as I cannot add pictures at moment. :(

Not trying at all to promote religious conflict, but you can talk to JC right now and, depending on your individual circumstances, hear what he says back to you.

Among the more tangible beings:

Jimmy Stewart
Al Capone
Sir Francis Albert Sinatra (of course he wasn't a knight, but doesn't it just flow?)
A couple of my grandparents

Neat Thread

I'd like to talk to the United States Founding Fathers about their failure to kill off slavery in the constitution. In the course of the conversation, I'd like to try and understand why they, brilliant visionaries all, didn't foresee that weapon technology would advance and that an open-ended right to bear arms might someday cause problems. I would also love to be the one who gets to show them the magnifcent country they made.

I would just like to find a way to keep Lincoln talking for a few hours, so I could watch the head-to-toe animation his contempoaries described but is completely lost to us.

Oscar Wilde because he would be the perfect guest to have at any dinner party.

Alice Roosevelt Longworth - same reason.

Joan Crawford at about age 30. For entirely disreputable reasons.

Tsar Nicholas II to find out if there was anybody home at all. Ditto William Howard Taft (his great grandson shows no sign of said occupancy).

(enough - I have rather a long list!)
