I gave "nerds" valentines to all my co-workers, some of the clients, and sent chocolates to my Great Aunt Sissy with a poem that she taught me before I could write.
I've gotten cards, flowers, chocolate, jewelry, and leather goods for Valentines day. I still have some of the cards.
I feel the proper response to being passed over by the one you are involved with is to not pass "Go", do not collect your $200, just pass the jackass by. Life is too short to spend mooning after people who don't treat one well.
