I thought I'd share my latest coat.
I hit up my local surplus store the other day.
The American p coats were rather lightweight and the wool was kind of fuzzy and just not what I was looking for. They were also over a hundred bucks- which wasn't what I wanted to pay.
So over on the rack next to them were some swedish pea coats. It took a bit of digging to find one that wasn't moth eaten.
The one I finally found is incredibly heavy with very fine smooth wool. It has two columns of 4 gold buttons, with one button under the right lapel to close up the neck. It is only half lined .
There is a tag in the left side reading Rappson, with a dog embroidered in silver thread.
There's also a tag which says C50 on it.
the best part- It was under thirty bucks.
I have no idea how old this thing is, but I have a feeling it dates back more than just a few years.
Pictures soon to follow.
