Perhaps they are, I wouldn't have much to argue in favor of tie pins myself. What's a tie shark, anyway? :p

First up, early 50s medium wide abstract "tiedright". It has a little clip, like a bowtie from a rented tux, and once you get it tied like you want you can just clip it off and on. In decent shape.

Deep burgundy/black with embroidered accents. Has a little hole on the back of the small end, but doesn't show and otherwise great shape. Also very shimmery/metallic hue.

Green cutter cravat with little detail. Good to decent shape.
One thing I've always liked about some of the skinny ties is the use of a tny something or other to break up the monotony of an otherwise plain looking tie.

Brocade tie with little bamboo pattern. Perfect for a trip to the tiki bar.

I didn't get a chance to measure any of these, had to haul out the door to get my daughter to her dance class, but if any interest then by all means please ask, I'll measure them.

I have a few others that I still need to sort through, and a couple of late 30s/early 40s ties I'm still on the fence about.

Oh, and sorry for the blurry phone pics. I was hurrying. I can try and get better ones if there's any real interest

That Sulka tie is a first class brand. Too bad it is so narrow.

It looks black, but in bright light has a deep red sharkskin-like sheen to it. Very secret agent man stuff.

Well thank you once more, that's most generous of you. Let me show you some more squares tomorrow - I hope you find something that you like.
Yes, I wear cufflinks very often, double-sided ones. I got into vintage cufflinks only recently and my favorite among my small selection of three is an enamel pair, octagonal, flat, with chain link.
One thing I'm looking for is collar pins, and tie pins.
Well we have one very old tie pin...from 1880's and it is for the knot in a cravatte....it is sharp looking has real gemstones in it. It will go your way....lol! You will like what we send you.

Daniel LIKES skinny ties?! Good! I have a box around here somewhere.......:p
Yep indeed....the short of the long story (sort of like Paul Harvy on milktoast) hahah oh lord. Daniel has 6 suits that he would always wear any ties with...but then I was able to purchase the "holy grail" suit for him....a sharkskin that is 100% flawless, thin label....think Frank, Sammy Davis....suit is a history participant....well sort of...the store Patersons,...the place...Reno....the year...before 1957.....as the entire area of the Reno Nevada, store...Patersons....went BLOOIEW Gas Main leaked and someone must have decided to light a cigar....BOOM! Blew cars up in the air....and then you have the material...silk...not just any silk...thick silk...mixed with cashmere wool., the colors are silver...green...gold...blue and red...all in the silver it is irredescent (spelled wrong sadly) ha!...the high waisted pants pleated...hollywood waist....you could cut a steak with the crease on the pants....so yeah...new blue shirts (cufflinks do not work on this suit...pictures later) so a bunch of new shirts blue, cream, almond, and white...even a nice waistcoat....

Next after the ties....new custom hat from TonyB....but I have to wait for some hundreds to grow on that money tree and in the winter, too! LOL! But TonyB has the hat we would want for this suit....we just need to get the cash and then beg him to make it....

So the sleeves are as narrow as that? Perhaps you could still make cufflinks work - one-sided cufflinks, that is - by folding the cuff halves into each other rather than the standard method of laying the halves parallel to each other. The toggle side then faces the skin of the arm, the decorative side faces the outside of the shirt like a button.
That way you get something more like a button cuff, although the shirt sleeve width is still going to be a tad wider than on a real button cuff.

Thank you dear one. I was thinking Daniel does have on knit tie that is older than dirt...it is a gray tie but it is not here, I think it is at his relatives home up north. I am not sure it is from the 1920's but I am sure it is at least older then the 1940's. It was his great grandfathers and given to his father then to Daniel. His great grandfather has been gone since 1960 and so the tie was given to his father around 1947, and it was not new then.

If you do locate the early knit tie, I know that the Herringbonekid is looking for one.

Hello and thank you I will see if that will work.. oh what size shirt do you wear? I have a shirt that was $375.00 for it new...and it is too small now! Neck size is 16 and sleeve size 34. Italian high end shirt....has a pattern in the white that is small dinky dimples sort of texture. Let me see brand name on it is....Lorenzini. I hand washed it in too hot of water the collar is too tight on Daniel now....is a cuff link shirt formal looking dress shirt. Guessing the collar is maybe close to between 15 1/2 and 16. Not a pleated front tux shirt but is still a formal looking shirt...the collar was too tight before I washed it...now far too tight.. Daniel normally wears a 16 1/2 or 17 collar.

The end of the sleeves on the suit gets very narrow tapers in. But the cuffs on the sleeves maybe actually have working buttons...

I take a size 14 1/2 x 32 1/2. From my neck size I could actually wear a 14, but prefer not to, and tighten the necktie a little more instead. With the right kind of collar gap on the shirt it works. I still haven't figured it out excatly, though. You see, my neck quickly gains in width as it spreads into the shoulder muscles, so I feel more comfortable in a shirt neck that isn't all too tight. Comes from boxing and sports in general.
