I didn't get a chance to measure any of these, had to haul out the door to get my daughter to her dance class, but if any interest then by all means please ask, I'll measure them.
I have a few others that I still need to sort through, and a couple of late 30s/early 40s ties I'm still on the fence about.
Oh, and sorry for the blurry phone pics. I was hurrying. I can try and get better ones if there's any real interest
Green cutter cravat with little detail. Good to decent shape.
One thing I've always liked about some of the skinny ties is the use of a tny something or other to break up the monotony of an otherwise plain looking tie.
Brocade tie with little bamboo pattern. Perfect for a trip to the tiki bar.
Well we have one very old tie pin...from 1880's and it is for the knot in a cravatte....it is sharp looking has real gemstones in it. It will go your way....lol! You will like what we send you.Well thank you once more, that's most generous of you. Let me show you some more squares tomorrow - I hope you find something that you like.
Yes, I wear cufflinks very often, double-sided ones. I got into vintage cufflinks only recently and my favorite among my small selection of three is an enamel pair, octagonal, flat, with chain link.
One thing I'm looking for is collar pins, and tie pins.
Yep indeed....the short of the long story (sort of like Paul Harvy on milktoast) hahah oh lord. Daniel has 6 suits that he would always wear any ties with...but then I was able to purchase the "holy grail" suit for him....a sharkskin that is 100% flawless, thin label....think Frank, Sammy Davis....suit is a history participant....well sort of...the store Patersons,...the place...Reno....the year...before 1957.....as the entire area of the Reno Nevada, store...Patersons....went BLOOIEW Gas Main leaked and someone must have decided to light a cigar....BOOM! Blew cars up in the air....and then you have the material...silk...not just any silk...thick silk...mixed with cashmere wool., the colors are silver...green...gold...blue and red...all in the silver it is irredescent (spelled wrong sadly) ha!...the high waisted pants pleated...hollywood waist....you could cut a steak with the crease on the pants....so yeah...new blue shirts (cufflinks do not work on this suit...pictures later) so a bunch of new shirts blue, cream, almond, and white...even a nice waistcoat....Daniel LIKES skinny ties?! Good! I have a box around here somewhere.......

Thank you dear one. I was thinking Daniel does have on knit tie that is older than dirt...it is a gray tie but it is not here, I think it is at his relatives home up north. I am not sure it is from the 1920's but I am sure it is at least older then the 1940's. It was his great grandfathers and given to his father then to Daniel. His great grandfather has been gone since 1960 and so the tie was given to his father around 1947, and it was not new then.
So the sleeves are as narrow as that? Perhaps you could still make cufflinks work - one-sided cufflinks, that is - by folding the cuff halves into each other rather than the standard method of laying the halves parallel to each other. The toggle side then faces the skin of the arm, the decorative side faces the outside of the shirt like a button.
That way you get something more like a button cuff, although the shirt sleeve width is still going to be a tad wider than on a real button cuff.
oh what size shirt do you wear?
The pink & purple Haband is very nice too.
Those two are awesome! Ok, what do you need for those?!
If you do locate the early knit tie, I know that the Herringbonekid is looking for one.
The pink & purple Haband is very nice too.
I have this super skinny Wembley I'll offer up as well.
It looks black, but in bright light has a deep red sharkskin-like sheen to it. Very secret agent man stuff.
