Surely guns go with the look?

Here in Europe, it’s much more difficult to pack heat. But back in the USA, I imagine a handgun would go well with a fedora. Especially if you’re wearing an Open Road, a flight jacket, selvedge denim and engineers boots.

Anyone have a favorite daily carry?

Good point, maybe i was being a bit too cavalier. I do, however, find firearms fascinating and wonderful for their mechanical design. Personally, i just shoot targets and clay pigeons, plus the occasional duck, so I appreciate the craftsmanship of these tools -- and of course we can't carry them outside of a lockbox here (in Berlin). But I love my Walther PK and Browning over/unders.

I may play too much Red Dead Redemption.

Very hesitant to post in a gun thread. I agree with the above. Any romanticism of guns is misplaced. Craftsmanship and sport are valid but in many parts of this country gun deaths are very high.

Gun culture in Europe is sooo different from the USA. There are things most in Europe have never considered that are common to we in The USA, since many don't have anything comparable to our 2nd amendment. How about we look at it from a practical/tactical view point as opposed to a fashion statement. I agree with Shamus. Many states in the US have Open Carry laws but I see this as risky. The bad man is going to target the person with the pistol out.

The only corolation I see between guns and clothing is purely seasonal. In the hotter season, an Inside The Waist holster under a t-shirt works. Jacket weather allows you to get your pistol off your belt via a shoulder holster if you're so inclined. Some espouse jacket pocket carry, which is not the best option, but better than nothing. Unfortunately probably nothing here for the benefit of the OP but I would be interested about different firearms philosophies/rights/restrictions from loungers in other countries.

I think if the start and end of the initial post have been the last question, it would have sounded a bit better.

Having said that, as a retired LEO, I would never post on a forum the kind of gun I use for EDC.

I think this thread has run its course. As HD intimated, it is moving in a different direction than intended, and as DeHat said, it is finished. I haven't been comfortable with it's potential for wandering off into the weeds from the beginning.
