Just one thing having worn a high wasted flared skirt suit and my great grandfathers national guard uniform from WWI...they are nothing remotely similar.

The man second to the far left has an interesting collar. It looks like a club collar, but also structured very closely to the other side, with almost no spread in the gap. I wonder where one could buy a shirt with a collar like that today, in an era of very spread collars?
