From the early 1930s. Not mine; it's a tiny size (sigh). Almost certainly European, and probably custom made. Amazingly wonderful!

Yes, it's a slightly heathery, medium weight flannel. It does have some moth bites and nibbles, but what the heck.

Hopefully I'll find a nice flannel suit in the vintage fair in Helsinki that is very soon..

I have my hopes up.. although I don't believe I'd ever be able to find something like that!

It's just all down to the details.. the bone buttons etc

Yes, it looks very German- I have seen those very same trouser side-adjusters on '30's/'40s German forces officers trou'.

Lord have mercy, that is a nice, nice suit - I especially like the placement of the breast pocket - I never could get that tailor in Afghanistan to replicate that detail.

This is also the first actual suit I have seen with the buttoned patch pockets - I have seen old illustrations, etc. of them but never a recent pic of an actual suit!

I had a thought about seeing eachother in Helsinki vintage but now I'm having second thoughts. I don't want to shop with somebody who has same clothes size as I have.
