Suburban Goat and a Little Snow in Tennessee

Ok, so we had some snow in Tennessee last night! So Loki and I went outside to welcome it! This morning we were at 8 inches but the best part.....it will be gone by tomorrow. The South does have it's advantages when it comes to weather. The new Suburban Goat from LW definitely did it's job comfortable yet the dense leather is virtually waterproof. Stuart as usual did a great job I got a little extra warmth with the quilted lining rather than the usual Satin Bemberg lining.

Haha, I used to get a bit impatient when my dog would bounce around and eat the snow and be so distracted that she'd forget why we were out there until I was frozen solid.

Great dog. Jacket looks good as well.

He is an Excellent dog with all credit for training going to my daughter. We of course are taking care of Loki while she is in the Coast Guard...thinking that will be for a very long time as she will be unavailable for quite some time.

Great looking jacket! How is the weight and pliability of LW's goat compared to its HH?

Compared to horsehide the goat is much more pliable but it is substantial. I have a J-23 in Horse and Goat essentially I will use the Horse for long rides and the Goat for shorter rides + I know I can wear it into the summer whereas the Horse not so much.

I bought this jacket for casual wear and for business as it will hold it's shape but still be plenty comfortable for riding whether in a car or by air across country.

Thanks. One follow-up question: you say the goat is "substantial" -- from a weight perspective, would it be equivalent to a 3+ oz HH?

Great pics Wilbur and thanks for sharing. A large segment of the country got some dusting and more predicted for us here tomorrow (maybe). Imagine you get more snow on the top of the mountain than below in the Tennessee Valley.

We had about 8" on the mountain with about 5" below but it is quickly going away.

Excellent jacket and it fits you well. Thanks for all the info about goat; I've been thinking about that lately.

My dog loves the snow too. Our snow doesn't melt the next day. My dog seems to like that more than I do these days.

I have long admired the way LW's Suburban is designed. I have also noted more and more traction from jackets made with goatskin - Aero, Langlitz, LW, and others - and am happy to see it getting the recognition it deserves.
