Is this normal?

I've used a hot glue gun before with no ill effects on the straw to hold a ribbon in place...:)
Do the hatbands on straws come glued on the hat? That's a surprise to me. Why not a few stitches, like on a felt hat? Thanks!

I change colors...

I have several hats that I change the ribbon color on the hat and its easier to use the glue gun than sewing the ribbon. On my finer Montecristi hats the ribbon is sewed on the hat...

The glue is very easy to get off the hat rubs off in a little ball. :)

I still have the 2 little clips/pins from the old ribbon, but once I come back around & meet up....I don't know how to neatly finish it? How do I hide that other clip/pin?
