Original TWA Pilot's Cap Badge. According to the eBay auction, it's from the early 1930s and appears to be in terrific condition!

Can't wait to get my mitts on it!!

PERFECT for you Fred! I love that your collection has really come together. They truly all are striking designs.

Someday... I'm gonna buy the Cosmic Muffin (B-307 converted to a BOAT of all things), add B-17G wings, 4 Wright R-1820-97 "Cyclone" turbosupercharged radial engines, and then reconfigure the interior to the way it wast when Howard Hughes owned it:

Both are original 8x10 wire photos from the Chicago Tribune photo archives.

Progress photos of my 1/48 scale Stratoliner model. (Identical to the one in the National Air & Space Museum.)

THREE YEARS in the making, it should be complete shortly!! The gentlemen who's making this for me is a professional aviation model restorer. He's doing six of these. Three in TWA livery (mine included), one in PanAm, and two that are clear-coated wood. I can't wait!
