For sale is a straight zip cal CHP with no tag size but it fits like a forty.
Cal-Leather Jackets, originally established as "Star Glove & Leather" in Ventura, California, began producing leather goods in 1927. By the 1940s, the company expanded into crafting motorcycle jackets under the "Cal-Leather" label, gaining a reputation for durable and high-quality apparel among riders. This recognition led to a significant commission from the LAPD to develop and produce the official motorcycle jackets for their officers. Subsequently, other law enforcement agencies across the country adopted Cal-Leather jackets and throughout the mid-20th century, Cal-Leather's jackets became synonymous with the classic California Highway Patrol (CHP) style.
Based on the chipped paint on and within the badge holder snaps, it appears that this Cal was actually used as a police jacket,
Incidentally, this jacket once belonged to the venerable almostvintagestyle who kindly gave me permission to feature one of his photos to showcase just how badass this jacket can look on someone with the right build. If you're here, you have probably seen his content, but if you haven't you absolutely need to check him out!

This jacket features a single piece back without epaulets or a duck tail, making it probably one of the cleanest straight zip CHPs on the market. But the bottom panel belt loops have been removed (which I personally prefer). And the leather is extremely supple, easily the most comfortable jacket I have worn. It also has fully functional zippers, a fully intact lining, and absolutely no bad smell to it of any kind.
Additionally, here is a video review by the man him self of this very jacket.
Thank you again to almostvintagestyle, for allowing me to use the picture.
Asking 500 shipped CONUS. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
