Very British, 70s-early 80s style - I suspect consciously so, as the brand name references the Clash ('Straight to Hell' was released as both a single and a track on the album Combat Rock in 1982). I don't recall any of the clash ever wearing one like this, though it is very similar to the pre-Aero Ken Calder-made jacket that Bowie wore on the cover of Heroes. Aero did recently do a run of repops of that jacket for another label, but with the selling price of this particular one, I'd say its origin is several thousand miles east of Galashiels.

I don't get how every single jacket dig into the armpit of the models wearing them, all have similar creasing there as if the top of the shoulder doesn't fit right.

I’ve perused that site before. Have decent stuff there. For the price that is. None of its custom. Generic leathers. But I don’t mind the jeans and tees and what not. If we were 50s rockabilly 70s punk enthusiasts it would be perfectly acceptable. Some of us being those things but also being jacket junkies TFL members I don’t think they past the test haha.

I wonder if they left the zips off the handwarmer pockets on the Dominatoralike deliberately, to enhance their use as such, or some other reason?

Truth be told, I think most of us on here long ago passed the point of all reason compared to the average person out there! For my money, what we here all too easily wave away as 'mall jacket' can often be about on a par with a production Schott - a very decent beater for the money. There's so much else that goes into a great jacket, though...

Probably most of us all too readily forget how fortunate we are to be able to be in a position to spend what we do on jackets; there are plenty enough folks out there who can only dream of spending £300 on one of these.

Looking at the website, the crosszip styles look the best of the bunch, though somewhat overlong in the body, proportion-wise. The take-offs of the Lewis Lightning make sense of the name (that's the model Joe and Mick mostly wore). I'd be curious to feel the (presumably some sort of PVC?) leather substitute they're using in the Vegan models. Logical market to target, though I'd be curious as to how close in feel they were to the pleather budget jackets that many of the Brit manufacturers - including Lewis themselves - made back in the fifties.

It seems to me Levis is using a Buffalo leather for some of their trucker styles, some of which I've seen here.
