Not yet, FedEx and I are in a custody battle. ;)

They should have it available to pick up tomorrow. Huzzah FedEx!

sorry about that. they had a new employee there yesterday & half the stuff I sent out was tagged as signature required. Have been on the phone with another customer & fedex trying to get his parcel straightened out. Fedex tells me the recipient has to make changes to the delivery but tells him I have to...

No worries, Steve. My adversary and I have tangled before.

Seriously, I'm just going to pick it up today so no biggie.

OK boys and girls,

I finally got custody. There are a few adjustments that Steve is going to help me with. But, other than that the jacket is absolutely GORGEOUS!

These pics are taken in direct sunlight and kind of harsh the truly subtle colors that Steve managed. Suffice it to say that everything is exactly the perfect shade and texture. Truly a work of art.

Great looking jacket! What are those issues you are talking about?

Now, for some fit pics!

No issues. I have a back like an orangutan. Steve is going to adjust the sleeve gusset and it will give me a bit more room to move around.

Fit pics when it's back and done. :)

The jacket looks outstanding! It turns out that we have similar issues though. I posted in my build thread that the jacket appeared to look tight in the chest, even though there is plenty of room when zipped-up.

After discussing it with Steve, and letting him look over some fit pics, it was determined that the underarm gussets should be larger. I can see where that may have been overlooked when sizing-up the original smaller pattern. No biggie.. I'm happy that it can be addressed by not needing to ship the jacket out of the country. ;) I will be shipping mine back tomorrow to have that, and a couple of other small niggles taken care of. I will update my thread with a written review, and detail pics discussing them, when the jacket makes it way back to me.. :)

I'm also thinking yours will benefit from the "revised" bi-swing outer strips that I'll be swapping into Deacon's jacket. I also appreciate both of you guys understanding how complex the design is on these jackets & that it's still learning process in a couple of those troublesome spots for me. Rest assured that I stand behind my work 100% & will have both of you looking squared away ASAP!

Not a problem at all Steve. :) As I posted, I'm happy that the jacket doesn't have to make a trip around the globe to be fixed. ;) I can imagine how it would be a daunting task to size up / down from an existing original, vintage pattern of a gusseted, bi-swing jacket.

I've had jackets from Aero, and Wested come to me WAY too large compared to measurements I provided before, and were expensive to ship back. Not to mention the wait times involved to have them fixed after arrival. Considering that they have been established 'jacketmeisters' for many years, you're doing great! :)

No problems Steve. These jackets appear to be a cat's cradle. Tighten this and you loosen that. The leather, color, and quality of workmanship are all outstanding. Minor fit adjustments are just a matter of time.

To be fair, the first thing that crossed my mind was: with someone as helpful and considerate with his clients as Steve S looks to be, that'd be somewhat a pleasure to hand him back the jacket for a few adjustments. I'm not sure I've ever seen some this dedicated to his customers. Kudos to you, Steve!

Thanks! First off, its just a matter of personal conviction & integrity with me. I'm not going to attach my name to something I'm not personally proud of. That's the way I've handled my paintwork for close to 30 yrs along with everything else. When it comes to jackets/clothing, everyone's body shape is going to be different & adjustments have to be made after the fact due to building from measurements alone. It's just part of the process. Like everything else, you fix it, make the customer happy & move along to the next project. I've always felt that one negative review will trump 100 positive ones, so want every customer to be happy & satisfied.

I was looking forward to some fit pics. Did you ever get the jacket back?
