Stetson Lot Number on the sweatband
Stetson must have made this hat
I really thought you were smarter than that.I see a number but nothing to indicate Stetson made the sweat other than your say so and that's just another unsubstantiated claim. There are already enough of those around.
I'm not remarking about your intelligence. I'm remarking about your lack of same.Smarter than what? Than to accept your say so as proof? Yes I am. You have offered nothing that says Stetson made that hat. A lot # on a sweat yet a completely different mfg tag and size tag than Stetson was using at the time. Maybe, but I don't know that and unless I've missed something, neither do you. You assume too much and expect others to go right along. Not a wise thing coming from a man making remarks about the intelligence of others.
The fastest way you can prove me wrong is for you to start a thread listing all of the known hat manufacturers who had Lot Numbers exactly like that on the back of their sweatbands. Shouldn't take you long- I'd say about 5 minutes, since the grand total of such hatmakers IS EXACTLY ZERO!!!There it is. Get personal when you have nothing to lean on.
I'm not here to please you. If you don't like my posts, just consider that they are not directed to you or for you and go about your life. I might not have this attitude if you ever did anything constructive, but all I see from you is gripping and complaining and criticizing what others do.I'm not trying to prove you wrong. I am trying to get you to show me you are right based on evidence and citation, not based on what you "think, assume or believe" because none of that matters. And you can't do it.
Don't recall anybody appointing you as the Fedora Lounge Police.Mike, you want to continue with this being personal, go ahead but remember, that’s on you. Personally, IDGAF about you or your personal remarks. If I did, you wouldn’t want to play.
What I do care about is the accurate history of hats and how this site is THE repository for said hat history. Your assumptions and conclusions without citation have added nothing to that. Keep deflecting, though. It may eventually work.
Do you have a history of blaming others for your attitude?
Please ignore what I said here about the sweatband being fed into a machine. I just theorized that nonsense.I think the Lot Number placement at rear of hat was a rare mistake, that the sweatband was fed backwards into whatever machine stamps info on it. The reorder number usually found stamped on the right rear was found in the front, where the Lot Number is usually found.
