Stetson Stratoliner as art

RBH

Bartender
It seemed a slow day here at the Lounge...
Anyway while waiting for family to arrive I got the idea to take this photo.
Hope you enjoy it.

This is what it means to love hats; to find pleasure in simply looking at something as beautiful as a vintage Stratoliner. The wearing is only part of the joy. Nice shots you guys, sublime hats!

Tony, it shows on your eyes. BTW what was the range of colors that Stratoliners came in? That brown is so nice. I ve seen grey, light brown, brown, and I think a green. My charcoal grey/black cheap copy probably represents a color/shade they didn't come in.

I've got a Bluish-Gray Stratoliner that I'll try to post- once again, computer foiling all attempts at photos going to FL

I happen to be looking for a Stratoliner in either grey or brown, best possible condition, 7 3/8 LO; the better quality the more I can pay, and it can be a
Borsalino with a Stratoliner stlying. Yeah, I know, just a few others are in line
for the same hat...this would be my last for a while-or-who would be the recommended maker of a new one with fine beaver felt??

thanks all

mine is light blue-grey

A few comments (not completely random I hope!).

RBH - Love your new avitar! A stratoliner, I assume... where is it?

Tony - I suppose you have noticed that the brown of your Stratoliner seems to be an exact match to the brown of your eyes. Amazing.

Douglas - You always get great hats, and always look natural in them... no matter how diverse the style.

I don't recall who was asking about Stratoliner colors, but the one I have is a very pretty light blue-grey color. It's one of those colors that can drive you crazy because you cannot decide if it is more blue than grey, or visa versa. The hue is VERY light. I posted a link to it in a different thread several weeks back. I'll be glad to email pictures of it if anyone is interested... just PM me.
