Anyway, it's been my experience that I can replace a few bucks spent on fineries. Money comes - money goes. But certain items and certain experiences like travel exploits endure forever.

I've learned that I really don't regret the things I do - - but I have regretted some things I didn't.

I agree wholeheartedly -- you did very well. Assuming that is, you had the money to spend.

I find remorse on these auctions is usually related to my getting emotionally caught up in the bidding and charging around with a simply-gotta'-have-it sense of the whole thing.

You bought a new hat that has the advantage of being genuine vintage quality. It's a beautiful color and I'm sure as you work with it, it will become every bit yours.
