Wish my cranium wasn't so full of gas- did anybody here win the Stetson
One Hundred on OFAS today?? $66.00!!! Oh my fur and whiskers, someone put my head in a vise so's I can buy these smaller sizes...

What a deal!! can't wait to see photos of the winner proudly wearing one
terrific hat.

I've been avoiding OFAS lately, so I didn't see that Stetson 100 you mention. But I gotta wonder if it might be worth the trouble and expense of sending a too-small hat (bought on the cheap) to a competent hatter for a renovation and resizing. Even if you had a hundred bucks into the hatter's efforts, you'd still come away with a heckuva hat at a reasonable overall cost, wouldn't you think?

I'm in complete agreement, Tony- I've even attemped to stop altering hats
myself, and send them out to an expert. But when it's 2 sizes small...all ya can do is sit back and watch the felt fly. In this case-not much action on a
very desirable hat. I've got a couple of One Hundreds-not by Stetson, but a Resistol & a Dobbs; just wonderful feeling felt-comparable to Borsalino's better hats-easily, in my mind...just hard to imagine the smile on the winner's mug...

Mine.

It's the most expensive hat I've bought on ebay so far, but I still think it's a steal. Price wise, it's kind of like paying 7 bucks for a '50s stratoliner.

I love my Stetson 7x so much, I can't wait to see what the felt and finish on this one will be like.

Wait another week or so and you'll see pictures of me wearing it in the what hat are you wearing thread.:D

I wear a 7-1/8 in vintage stetsons, so it should fit perfectly.

If it doesn't fit perfectly, you may donate it to my cause, and I will re-size it!!! :) :D lol

It's here.

Very thin, extremely fine beaver felt. Not much curl to the brim.
Searching previous threads, the RENSH means Renovated by Shuddle Bros.

It fits, and I'm very happy with it.

Hey,

Dinerman, that's one excellent deal on an excellent hat! :eusa_clap

I'll have to find a diner someplace and eat in it this weekend in your honor.

Cheers,
Mark

Dinerman, good to hear that your hat fits. It is a real beauty. I particularly like the front pinch on the hat. Hope you don't decide to change it.:eusa_clap
