Beautiful hat @Hurricane Jack ! So cool having one with a model name on the sweat. Congrats!
The Nevadan, a Stetson No.1Q 3x6, block #52, 3-cord ribbon with bound edge.

Fantastic. That liner makes the hat a very special find. Congratulations!
Thanks all! I was told this hat was in Art Fawcett's personal collection. I keep thinking it might have been a centerfire crease originally but now I'm not so sure. It takes anything dry, including those big elephant ear dents I like so much on a 3x6 block 52.All my favorite things in a hat along with a liner and name stamp that put it over the top. Sure mimics my favorite 7X CB. Special indeed, HJ.

I found this No.1 Quality Stetson in a box recently. I've had it for more than 5 years. The pictures are all the I formation that's in this hat. The fest's in great shape. Does anyone have any idea how old this thing may be?
Thanks. That makes sense to me.The black sweatband and the liner say 60’s - 70’s to me. Others here may be able to narrow it down further.

I agree. Bigger retailers who bought in volume like Lusky's were selling those thick Western weight No.1Q's with pre metric size tags thru the 1970's & into the 1980's.This hat looks more modern to me. When did the Stetson brand start being produced in a union shop? Wolf Bros. is in business today and might be able to help you with dating.

All cost cutting measures, I'm sure. By 1968 when John B. Stetson signed a 3 yr union contract they already had licensing agreements with hat manufacturers in 14 other countries. And they were looking to make a domestic agreement too, & did so in 1971 with Stevens.Interesting. I took another look inside the hat. There is nothing under the sweatband except the number 2 in white pen or marker of some sort. There is no trace of any retailer or dealer information on the sweatband.
