This is a Stetson Fifteen that has a wonderful, soft feel to the felt. I was looking for one just like this, but unfortunately I didn't read the auction closely and bought the wrong size. I measure the inner circumference at 21 1/2", or US size 6 3/4.
The felt is in good shape, but the hat really needs some steam and shaping - also the ribbon has some creases and needs steamed. I think the hat might benefit from a spray of stiffener, but if you can shape it without that, it will feel very soft and nice in your hands. I see no damage anywhere, although the liner is a bit faded inside.
I dont' know the age of the hat, but with feel of the felt, it has to be 50+ years old for a $15 hat to be this nice. The brim is 2 1/2", crown about 4 1/2", ribbon is 1 3/4", and the brim has the "Mode Edge", which means it's folder over and stitched. This is a well-featured hat that needs gentle hands and some time re-shaping it.
I need $35 plus shipping for this hat.
