It's back from the milliner for sweat reattachment. It certainly doesn't look brand new, but I'll take an imperfect, original hat over a renovated one any day - especially with this hat's incredibly thin and light sweat. It's so light, it tried to eat my Trinity.
New York Hat Stores was a chain in California with many outlets.
Darned if that doesn't look exactly like the entrance to Meyer the Hatter, down here in The Swamp. Even to the glass-fronted cabinet out in the middle!
RLK, +1 again on that hat. I've never seen a brim that was just stitched through the felt. Is that for aesthetic purposes only, or does it also strengthen the brim a bit?
I'm absolutely SPEECHLESS! The most beautiful hat I have ever seen! The color is incredible, the dimensions are incredible, and the condition is incredible. I'm extremely impressed with K2r and the results. I've never seen a playboy air-light with a vented circle going around the crown tip sticker. I thought all air-lights only had the Maltese cross vents. :eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap
Very nice hats here. I saw a Dobbs that was almost identical to the white one here- one of the
lightest, softest hats I have ever held, and in like new condition. I posted about it in Classifieds, but
didn't buy it 'cause it was over $100 and not my size.
