Stetson 7X Clear Beaver arrives

Came home tonight with the 7X Stetson waiting for me. I wasn't going to start a new thread on it, but found the lack of markings interesting.

It has the same Clear Beaver Quality Stetson liner tip that I've seen in others. The sweat has only 1 mark, the "XXXXXXX Clear Beaver Quality Mode Edge". No retailer name/mark or owner's initials, nothing.

Under the sweatband is just the reorder tag with reorder no., block, and size, "C8429 B 884 7 1/8". Main size tag is black/cream paper with "1/8".

I haven't been doing this long enough to know if this is strange or normal.

Anyways, the hat is great. The first pic shows it with my Dobbs Twenty (Dobbs on left, Stetson on right). It would be real hard to pick between the two. They could almost have come off the same line with a slightly wider ribbon on the Dobbs.

Looks very similar to both my Stetson Sovereign and Knox 20.

That hat is an absolute gem. A 7X Clear Beaver with a mode edge is about as good as it gets, I think. And that black ribbon against the felt looks incredibly sharp. That is one outstanding lid -- Congrats!!! :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

This is stiff and thick. Has that moldable clay-like feel. The Dobbs 20 is very similiar but just a tad less stiff.

It's not that uncommon.
