I have read about the number one quality hats, and knew this was one of the first lines made by Stetson. I like it. It looks to be in great shape as well. If you ever want to sell that one, I am interested. Fedora

It is a beautiful hat but someone wrote a price on the sweat. I can't imagine a store doing that.
Mulceber, I look at a lot of hats and I am diligent most of the time and I am lucky.

#1 Quality

I found a #1 Quality Stetson at a Goodwill for $11 bucks. It looked like new. Anyone know the vintage of the #1 Quality Stetson. My hat has the very thin single strand or cord band and the branding iron JBS patern in the lining.

That hat is old. Probably from the 1940's. The price that was written in the hat was made by an antique store . No hat store would write the price on the leather.
#1 quality from Stetson was one of their best..
