Has anyone ever bought a hat or cap from Sterkowski, in Poland? I've recently see some eastern European style caps on Amazon from them that look mighty fine. I'm primarily interested in how close their sizing is (is a size 57 Euro actually that size? Larger? Smaller?)

There was also a guy here in one of the forums who purchased three Sterkowski caps and he made the motorcycle cap look great. He also reviewed all the hats. You can look around and find the thread (it's only a few days old).

You can also contact Sterkowski via their Etsy store and ask questions about fit. I don't own one of these caps but they look like a good deal if they have a style you like.

I’ve purchased numerous hats from them and they are all true to size. There’s a size conversion chart on their eBay site that will give you the cm to inch conversion for finding your proper size. They offer good quality hats in a variety of styles at a fair price.

I just ordered the biker hat shown, it's not exactly that hat but very close. Delivery is a month, That's ok, it'll be a surprise when it comes. That's a good price if it's a quality hat. There fur felt hats are really a good buy if the quality is there. If I like the biker hat there will be more hats ordered from this company.

I'm very happy with all three of my Sterkowski caps and plan to buy more from them in the future. I highly recommend the company. It is a sad state of affairs, though, that it takes an outfit in Warsaw, Poland, to make an American classic, and make it right; there is no one in U.S. that comes close, unless you want an overpriced black leather cap that'll make you look like the biker dude in the Village People.

I fairly certain that Sterkowski made this one or has one very similar.
The gent in the photo is Manfred, who goes by the username of Chepstow here on The Lounge. And yes, that cap was made by Sterkowski. I know that because I liked it so much that I looked into getting one for myself; I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but I'm still considering it.

Here's my Maciejówka Model 9 - I ordered it November 15, and it arrived today in the USA.
My head is pretty precisely 24 inches around. Mostly I wear size 61 hats but here I ordered a 62. It's really comfortable but not going to fall off either. I'm really happy with it!
Man, that cap looks great on you, and it looks very comfortable as well. Win/win!

Do these have that plastic bit at the front some other caps do to push it up and hold the shape? (I'm hoping not, it's something I'm not keen on).

No plastic bits; only cloth, leather, thread, and old-fashioned craftsmanship. That last word is so hipsterishly over-used these days (they’re busy crafting Big Macs at your local Mickey D’s all day) that it’s on the verge of becoming meaningless; yet it fits Sterkowski’s made-right products.
