It was very odd that I just started seriously exploring Steampunk and there's the article. Hopefully this doesn't mean it's over!

Nope, but the genera has been around for ever

I remember catching onto it with the Back to the Future craze. It was kinda new then. Its mainly pushed in Anime (which Im not a big fan of). Its the astetic of the technology that I think is getting the big attention. Instead of the futuristic look of everything, why cant there be a mahogony enclosure with brass handels and wooden pegs. It would look cool.


A great example of it is the compute colsole in that Robin Williams movie 'The Final Cut'. Great computer!

lol I didn't even look at the filename, that was just attempting to crack wise... I figured since they had Seatroopers, Sandtroopers, Spacetroopers and Snowtroopers, why not Steamtroopers too? Is this a case of great minds thinking alike, or just warped ones?
