The best example of Atompunk I can think of is the "Fallout" series of computer games - though that is set in a post apocolyptic Atompunk future (i.e. it was Atompunk until the bombs fell).

With regards to Raygun-Gothic versus Dieselpunk - IMHO, they are different. The punk's tend towards dystopian views of the "what the future would be like if it were like the past", whereas Raygun Gothic isn't dystopian and is more a true "what the past thought the future would be" and is more in keeping with other more positive views of the future (and has more in common with Atompunk - it's more that era). Best examples of each I can think of are The Jetson's (Raygun Gothic) and Sky Captain of the World of Tomorrow (Dieselpunk)

There is a music video showing at the moment that shows a lot of, I suppose, Steampunk clothing. It is called "The ballad of Mona Lisa" by the band "Panic! at the disco"

The Wikipedia link gives some background info on the video

I really like the vibe and look of the video (if a bit OTT).

I'm really glad to see these sub-genre's breaking out in recent months/years. As an SF genre fan and vintage-lover, its fun to try and put the whole 'Flash Gordon' and Pulp eras back together in new ways. Its not something I've made a Costume for, per se', but I love both genre's (and atompunk) and have been having fun trying to draw them and so on..
I haven't read this WHOLE thread, so I'll post some links in case anyone's interested/hasn't already...

Finally, my own: WARBIRDS OF MARS, where 'Mars Attacks', 'War of the Worlds' and 'Only Angels have Wings' meets 'the Shadow' and WWII.

That looks hysterically bad and amazingly awesome at the same time. It seems to me like it could have been fine without being the Three Musketeers though. Definitely worth seeing though.

I was never competitive, but I did fence for a while. Great sport. If I were to take up a sport again, that would be it.

I miss it terribly. I was young then, these days bills must be paid and fencing is expensive. Plus, Florida is not exactly a hot bed of teams and coaches :p

Back on topic, that Captain America film looks to be some fun :) But those costumes on the guys in masks behind him look a little Iron Man... or maybe something out of G.I. Joe.
