Oh no, you beat me to this!:eusa_doh: :p

I'm looking forward to this movie, it looks very captivating, with an interesting premise, and naturally, I adore the title. I haven't gotten through all of the book yet, but I think the movie looks like a decent adaptation. I will be seeing it, for sure.

Ever see the Neverwhere BBC miniseries? Not a great adaptation, but still rather captivating thanks to a excellent cast.

American Gods is one of my favorite books ever. Gaiman's follow up book, Anasasi Boys is also excellent. Have you picked up "Fragile Things" yet? Its a collection of short stories, a couple of them tie into the American Gods/Anasasi Boys universe.

I did, I rented it. It was ok. Tough to adapt something like that.

I haven't read those...must add to the pile!

Yeah, the Neverwhere mini series hardly had any budget. And Gaiman was personally rather disappointed in the whole affair. Thankfully, Stardust sounds like it's not going to suffer from any of those particular issues.

Thought I'd bump this, reviews have been kind, good but,
this weekend it has bombed. Sometimes straight home video may save it [huh]
I'm looking forward to it anyway, regardless of poor gross in theaters.
Todays audience prefers stupid movies like The Simpsons.
Not that the Simpson’s movie isn’t deserving, sure may be funny just goes to show you movie goers tastes right now.

FYI:
After seeing this, I wouldn't quite yet say its a bomb, give it more time to catch on, after simpsons gets a run, #4 for the opening weekend, isn't really a bomb.

I saw it today. It was a good movie. According to a friend who's read the book, it strays pretty far afield, but I really enjoyed.
