I know, it doesn't make any sense in timeline.

But wouldn't it have been great, if a crossover between TNG and SG1 would have been there?
I mean, just imagine, that the crew of Enterprise D would have found a Stargate on a planet and suddenly it's activating and O'Neill's crew steps out. Imagine the scene, if Picard and O'Neill meet!

I think, O'Neill would say something like: "Wow, Phaser, COOL! You don't happen to have one going spare?"

I'd much rather see them mix it up with the Farscape universe. Picard vs. Scorpius - that would be fun.

It's available on Prime video if you have access. It was pretty fun, but as the story is told through the wayward American astronaut, John Crichton, it's writing, humor, etc. are pretty Americanized (though it was an Autralian production).

And any excuse to put Claudia Black on my TV screen is A-OK with me!

I was a casual fan of The Original Series and was initially hesitant about TNG but became a fan about a year into the series. I caught a TV special hosting of The Original Series' pilot episode, "The Cage", hosted by Sir Patrick Stewart which aired around late-October 1988. I believe it was during the writers' strike, which delayed the opening of Season 2 of TNG, so there were several plugs for Season 1. My favorite episode was "The Big Goodbye". Loved Dixon Hill's fedora!

I recall that, in one of the Next Generation movies, it was revealed that humanity would attain warp drive capability in the year 2061. I recall this because I remember that my young daughter was quite excited by the news. “Dad, I’ll still be alive in 2061!”

It's from an old Canadian television program ("You Can't Do That On Television") and the running gag was a burger joint where the kids would poke fun at the chef's cooking, and he's always chime in with "D'ahh... I heard that!" as a punchline.
