I promise I won't try to chat on any German forums in English. Any chance you could reciprocate, my friend? I'm sure we would have got the point re the cord strip without you lapsing into your local language.

Clue: The Fedora Lounge - that's english (OK, so yes; so Victorien Sardou, who came up with "fedora" was french, but still no reason for german....):eusa_doh:;)

PS. Also, completely OFF TOPIC

Du bekommst stattdessen einen Streifen aus Kord ohne Aufpreis.
Actually, Rudie, with Google translation, no problem! Du bekommst stattdessen einen Streifen aus Cord ohne Aufpreis - Instead, you get a strip of cord at no extra charge

@ Rudi, thank you for your comment! I already understood the Cordstreifen. I just wanted to know whether these strips of leather in general are no longer possible.
It was in this thread still the talk of something with "2" and "6" between you and Holly. That I could not translate the translator that I understand it. Can you send me maybe a PN in German for what that was about?
Have many thanks for that! :)

@ major major, excuse me for Rudie. In his haste he has fallen for a short sentence in his native language. Of course, we are constantly striving talk as guests here english!

@ Fanch, thanks for your effort and the translation!

I seem to remember this being discussed back on the old Yahoo groups Classic 20th Century. Lots of members had input but I didn't think it came to anything.
Anyone else an old member of this group?

Yup, just found my way here via Aero's Facebook page. Remember Skip, Johnny Frenchman et al well in the early 2000's heyday. Some great stuff, particularly the steer vs horse and Aero/ Eastman debates. And also remember the legendary battles between Ken and that nice Swing dude...

Great to see Ken back in the saddle, was lucky to meet him a couple of times, latterly sorted me out with tickets for BRMC in Glasgow a few years ago. My wife and I still have our Vest de Rallyes, was wearing mine only last week, can't beat horsehide in a Glasgow winter...

Hi Matt, Johnny Frenchman here. Just to let you know I traded my first Aero(if you remember it) back to Ken. That was a good group, shame it kinda died out.
Hope you checked out the Ken Calder story on the Facebook page. It's on here too with a few comments, look for A Life in leather by Sloan. It'll only be on page 2 or so.

You are probably right Ishmael - but this thread has spent more time off topic than on.

My two cents into the "what will happen to Will & Amanda?" suppositions....

Think about it. They both left, and then the relationship between Iron Heart (who just happened to be selling "custom versions" of Aero jackets) is suddenly cut. A link, perhaps?? Maybe we should look out for an increase in the range of jackets being marketed by Iron Heart. Just a thought:D

Looks like this is where Will & Amanda have ended up. I found this while reading through a forum on Iron Heart.

Hi Matt,
I'm still around as well, and the Classic 20th is still there albeit in slumber mode. Somehow I ended up being moderator and part owner. And yes we did have great discussions/debates on all kinds of topics.
I sold off most of my jacket collection and only have three Aero and one RMCNZ left. I do have a number of vintage civie jackets though. I have a real nice WWII era ANJ3A for sale, a rare one.
It's really sad all the troubles at Aero, but I trust the new/old group back in place will sort things out and get back on their feet again doing what they do best, making great jackets.

The ipod and the imac is actually very good products for the money. Iphone, Macbook and Ipad on the other hand *cough* overpriced-as-hell-its-just-normal-pc-hardware-inside-why-wont-people-ever-get-that *cough*

It's not about the hardware. Your like a teenager that thinks they have the world figured out, you can't tell them what they think they know.

Griff: Don't respond to this post. You have established your bona fides here; he hasn't. Just leave it alone for what it is. PC.
