I always forget how narrow the landing track is on these things till I see a video, not as narrow as the Me 109 of course but still tricky to land and taxi. I fly the Spit (most versions) on and off line via "IL2 Sturmovik", the only true WWIII combat flight sim left by the by. Spits aren't my fave mount, I like the P-47 and P-38 for ground and pound, but the Spits are almost the sexiest. For beauty I like the P-40 in Sharktooth paint. Mmmm Mmmm tasty.

I had a friend who flew with the Luftwaffe, started the war in Stukas finished in Me-262s, before he was arrested by the Gestapo. He said, in the BF109, the whole time you were taxing to take off, the plane would say, "I'm going to get you, I'm going to get you," Then right after take off, the plane would say, "don't worry, I'll get you when we land!"
